Location:
The role is based in Mumbai with 4 positions, and in Gift City with 2 positions. However, the 2 positions in Gift City will involve training in Mumbai, so candidates from both locations are encouraged to apply.
Role Overview:
We offer an exciting entry-level opportunity for 6 Portfolio Analysts to join our team. This role is not just about managing portfolios, it's about building a career in venture capital. It's a stepping stone to becoming an Associate within our funds, and it's a journey filled with growth potential. We're looking for a minimum commitment of two years, but the opportunities that await you are limitless.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Portfolios: Take ownership of managing and supporting a portfolio of 4-6 companies, depending on your aptitude and performance.
- Analyze Data: Collect, analyze, and interpret complex datasets to inform strategic decisions and enhance the performance of portfolio companies.
- Develop Strategies: Work closely with portfolio companies to develop and implement growth strategies, ensuring they are well-positioned for success.
- Support Fundraising: Play a key role in preparing portfolio companies for future fundraising efforts and create pitchbooks to pitch equity and debt investors for financing.
- Communicate Insights: Prepare detailed reports and presentations for the investment team, board members, and external investors, effectively communicating your findings and recommendations.
- Learn Continuously: At Artha Group, we believe in the power of continuous learning. As a Portfolio Analyst, you'll engage in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills in financial modeling, market analysis, and venture capital fundamentals. Qualifications:
- Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) is strongly preferred, but we will consider MBAs in Finance with relevant work experience.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and detail-oriented skills.
- Proficiency in data management, financial modeling, and creating presentations.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex information and insights.
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, and working under pressure are essential.
- Experience: Candidates should have some level of work experience post-qualification, demonstrating a solid understanding of financial analysis and portfolio management principles.
Compensation:
- CTC: ₹12 lakhs per annum (₹9.60 lakhs paid monthly + ₹2.40 lakhs annual confirmed bonus).
- Performance Bonus: Additional performance-based incentives.
- Growth Path: After demonstrating excellence in this role, exceptional performers will have the opportunity to transition to an Associate role within Artha Venture Fund or Artha Continuum Fund.
